What is handmade soap?
The term can mean different things to different people and different soap makers. For instance, so-called "melt and pour" soaps can be considered hand made soap, but we don't use that method. Our soap is made by hand from scratch using the traditional cold-process soap making method.
And our handmade soap retains the natural glycerin created during saponification, unlike today's synthetic detergent soaps where glycerin is removed and replaced with fillers or even synthetic glycerin.

Not all soap is the same. You can feel the difference our natural handmade soap makes.
At Tranquility Soapworks™ we craft each handmade soap from scratch with pure vegetable oils, sodium hydroxide and distilled water. We never use alcohol, detergents, fillers, harsh additives, colorants or preservatives. We use no animal fat, tallow or lard either. These items have no place in quality handmade soaps.
If it's not nice to your skin, it doesn't go into our soap, and that's what handmade soap is all about.
